1. What is new?
Changes to the old backnumber/bibs:
- Size of back number changed.
The backnumber 2011 is bigger and consists of two parts.
The upper part carries the athletes name and the country code.
The lower part is plain white and is made to be the subsoil for the self adhesive sponsor labels offering more adheisive strength. (see handling instructions sponsor labels)
- Fabric of back number
The fabric of the backnumber was changed to give the product a better grip.
- Font of names and size of country code
In order to optimize the visibility for spectators these parts were adapted.
2. New sewing instructions
The lower part of the new backnumber is made to be the subsoil for sponsor labels. To secure that the sponsor labels can be attached and removed
many times it is necessary to attach the new backnumber very solid. IJF and EJU require that you follow the sewing instructions which will be delivered with every delivery. You can also download it here.
3. How long can I use the old Backnumber?
IFJ requires the new backnumber for every IJF event from 01. January 2011. The old backnumbers are not allowed to be used in 2011.
EJU requires the new backnumber from 01.01.2011 for:
- European Championships Seniors,
- European Championships U23,
- European Championships Juniors,
- European Championships Cadets
- European Championships Clubs.
Old back numbers can be used in all other EJU events through 2011 (incl. European Championships Veterans and Kata).
New back numbers will be compulsory in all EJU events from
1 January 2012
